CPS, AB’s martial artists win accolades

CPS, AB’s martial artists win accolades

The skilled Martial Artists of Centre Point School, Amravati Road Bypass have excelled in the 13th National SQAY Federation and Master Cup Championship. The sporting event was held at Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir from 14th to 20th June, 2019. The championship which was organized by the SQAY Association of India witnessed the participation of around 350 Martial Artists from every nook and corner of the country. From CPS, AB, Nishtha Gadi, Arshaan Mehta and Avni Dhawankar claimed the awards and applause.

Nishtha contested in the U-11 open weight category. Her focused approach and crisp moves enabled her to dodge her opponent and clinch the Gold medal in the Fight event (LOBA). Arshaan Mehta represented the School in the U-11 boys’ category and was awarded a Bronze medal for his commendable performance.

In the U/18 category, Avni Dhawankar with her grit and determination bagged a Gold medal in the 10th National Master Cup KI event. Adding to the celebration was the news of their mentor, Mehboob Ansari being bestowed with the award for the Best coach by the SQAY Association of India. Congratulatory wishes poured in from the School Management and the Principal, Radhika Mehra, Vice-Principals, Perveen Cassad and Anita Sharma, the students and staff. They wished the Martial Artists success in all their endeavors.
