BJP Not Poaching Opponents b

The Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today asserted that his party BJP was not at all chasing the opponents or luring them to BJP but was selective in admitting them in the party fold. Fadnavis said party has put a board of “House Full” for those not wanted by the BJP.

Fadnavis was addressing a massive crowd after launching his ambitious “Mahajanadesh” yatra, seeking a repeated mandate for his BJP led government in the State in present of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh flagged off the Yatra at Mozri near Amravati, about 140 kms from Nagpur.

Fadanvis listing the achievements of his near five year term, said the BJP led government had surpassed all previous records of 15 year rule of Congress-NCP governments be it irrigation back log, industrial, infrastructure, agriculture pump or education and employment opportunities. He said there was a huge backlog of allotment of electricity connection to the agriculture pumps but after taking over his government had provided about 1.5 lakh connections to agriculture pumps in Vidarbha. Work for completion of pending irrigation projects to the tune of Rs 20,000 crores was in full swing.

Taking  a pot shot at Irrigation Ministers in previous government, without uttering their names, Fadanvis said they were interested in filling their coffers and not completing the irrigation projects in Vidarbha. The national Irrigation project in Gosikhurd has brought 4000 hectares of land under irrigated area till 2014 while it has reached to 50,000 hectares till now and our aim is to take it to one lakh hectare of land very soon.  Vidarbha is a land where electricity is produced in ample and therefore to attract industries in the region, the State government was providing power at a subsidised rate and reduced the cost by Rs three units.

Fadnavis said Maharashtra government was constructing Mumbai-Nagpur Super Highway known as Samrddhi marg which will pave the way for transport vehicles to reach JNPT within eight hours against the prevailing time of 15 hours. This will help the customers to export their good very fast.

Rajnath in his speech lauded the efforts of Fadnavis government in fulfilling the vision of Narendra Modi government. He has come out with flying colours in last five years.  There was however no mention of alliance partner in the Government, Shiv Sena. State BJP president Chandrakant Patil did refer to Balasaheb Thackeray. Nearly a dozen Ministers from Fadanvis Ministry including Sudhir Mungattiwar, Vinod Tawde, Pankaja Munde, Girish Mahajan, Dr Anil Bonde, Pravin Pote, Ashish Shela and others along with former Minister Hansraj Ahir, were present on the occasion. Fadnavis and Rajnath paid floral tribute to Rashtra Sant Tukdoji Maharaj at his memorial
