Peace Foundation and Care Hospital takes out rally to mark World Heart Day

Peace Foundation & Care Hospital Takes Out Rally World Heart Day

Every year World Heart Day is celebrated on September 29. PEACE Foundation along with CARE Hospital, Nagpur and Indian Dietetic association celebrated “World Heart Day” on September 21. This year’s theme is “My Heart, your Heart”.

A Rally was organized in this accordance to increase the awareness about Lifestyle modification among the general public. The rally started from Yashwant Stadium at 10:00 am and passed through CARE Hospital, Panchsheel Square, Ramdaspeth Dagadi park. Tejinder Singh Renu, President, Nagpur Residential Hotels Association flagged off the rally.

Over six hundred children from PEACE Foundation Young chapters schools like Saraswati Vidyalaya, Modern School,Koradi Road, G H Raisoni Vidyaniketan (State and CBSE) Hingna , Delhi Public school, Kamptee road, School of scholars, Hudkeshwar and Maharshi Kurve nursing college,Hingna , members of PEACE Foundation and Indian Dietetic Association and staff of CARE Hospital participated in the rally.

Wonderful performance by the school band from Modern School, Koradi road was the highlight of the rally. A skit was presented by CARE hospital diet department and Indian Dietetic Association highlighting the importance of a healthy diet titled “Aaj se thoda kam namak, shakkar, aur tel”. Prachi Sawaikar, Aishwarya Phutane, Dr. Vinita Mehta, Aditi Rao, Anagha. It was scripted by Dr.Rita Bhargava, Chief Dietician, CARE Hospital, Nagpur.

The program was supported by Glenmark Pharmaceutical Ltd. Amit Anand-project director, Dr.Meraj Shaikh- secretary PEACE Foundation and Dr. Rita Bhargava worked hard for the program’s success. The rally was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Varun Bhargava, President PEACE Foundation Nagpur.

Those prominently present were office bearers of PEACE Foundation Vice President Randhir Javery, joint secretary Manisha Thakar, and Treasurer Dr. Prashant Bhowate, Members- Ashok Goyal, Anil Joshi, Ramesh Mehta, Hunted Shirpurwala, Rashmi Bhargava, members of Ramdaspeth resident association Ashok Patki and Gopal Agrawal and CARE Hospital CHA Ravi Mannadiyar.
