What you can call it as a sheer case of negligence and irresponsible approach, the secretary of GMCH Employees Credit Cooperative Society has declared an alive person into dead. Yes, you heard it right, all this fiasco happened during the process for the recovery of a loan.
The secretary of the society Shailesh Ramteke in a letter signed by him informed the hospital administration that member of the society, a nurse named Kunda Mesharm (Gajbhiey) who is alive and declared her as dead, to recover the loan amount from her heirs. All the other departments and service record section received the same information. However, when the hospital administration enquired about the veracity of the information, the nurse was found alive and was doing duty in ward no.13.
On the other hand, the nurse is in great shock after hearing this. She even received a copy of the letter in her WhatsApp.And she is preparing to seek a reply from the Secretary office.
As per information, GMCH administrative office has got the letter regarding the matter on September 16, which stated that the nurse has died on September 3, 2019. The nurse had taken a loan amount Rs 1.3 lakh from the society. She returned Rs.42900 and had dues of Rs.87100.The letter had requested the GMCH administration to pay Rs.87100 from GPF and gratuity to be paid to her heirs. It also suggested that the amount should not be paid to them till the society gave a NOC.
