The Shree Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal of city will celebrate  the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanakdev-the most sacred festival observed by Sikhs worldwide from October 29 to November 12.On this occasion, they have decided  to organise various programmes include Prabhatferi. Devotional, religious and cultural, will be held during the celebrations.
Thousands of devotees participate in the Prabhatferi every year, which begins at 4 am and moves through various parts of the city. The devotees sing Gurubani and pray for peace in the society. Discourses by Chief of the organization AdvMadhavdas Mamtani will be held every day.
Floats of Gurus nanakdev, Angaddev, Amardas, Ramdas, Arjandev, Hargobind, Harirai, Harikrishna, Tegbahadur, Govindsingh and Shakti Bhavani will be the part of the celebration. Palanquin procession of Shree Gurugranth Sahib will be taken out at 1 pm on November 12.The procession will be followed by langar from 8 pm. Devotees from various parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, Uttar Pradesh will participate in the programmes.
As per information, this year the Mandal is celebrating its golden jubilee.
