Department of Computer Science & Engineering, of Vidarbha Institute Of Technology (VIT) has celebrated re-installation ceremony its Forum “SORCE (Society Of Radiant Computer Engineers)” recently. SORCE enables students to enrich their knowledge about new technology, innovations and research in the field of Computer science. Principal Dr.Sanjay Uttarwar & Prof.Pravin Kulurkar inaugurating the forum.
The inauguration was followed by a speech from Dr. Sanjay Uttarwar Principal VIT. He has talked about the various opportunities in the field of Computer Science & Engineering. The session was highly interactive. He had explained IT expectations from the college students which was very informative for the students. He made the session very interactive by giving group exercise. The second speaker was Prof.Pravin Kulurkar, Head Of Computer Department he delivered a talk on “Storage Area Network”. The focus of talk was mainly on applications of “Storage Area Network” in industries and corporations.
Organizers of the forum conducted many events such as “Technical Quiz”, “Technical pick and speech”, “Pictionary”, “Decryptathon” and “Word worth”. Students of all the semester participated actively and won many prizes.
