BJP should not go to such a low in offering Bharat Ratna to Savarkar:  Tiwari

Senior Congress leader and AICC Spokesman, Manish Tiwari today countered the BJP move to award Veer Savarkar with the highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna and advised the BJP not to resort to such a low. Indeed, why Savarkar, he asked adding why by Nathuram Godse.

Tiwari said it was revealed in Kapoor Commission findings that Savarkar was in the know of the killing of Mahatma Gandhi by Nathuram Godse. Godse was subsequently indicted and ultimately hanged to death, Tiwari told a press conference, here today. Lashing out at the BJP for an economic crisis, Tiwari said the Indian Economy was not on slowdown but was in crisis.

 

Describing the Economy, the Anantpur Sahib MP and former Minister in UPA, Tiwari said it was in +Tailspin+ Even husband of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, has gone on record to criticize the tackling of Economic crisis as he wrote an article in English daily The Hindu, the other day.

The Bank frauds in the country particularly referring to PMC Bank in Mumbai, Tiwari said it was reflecting our banking discipline and sending a wrong message to the foreign investors that even Banks are not safe for the public who deposit their hard-earned money there. Three deaths have been reported in related to PMC Bank scam, he said. For foreign investors, it was not at all a safe destination, he noted.

The UPA government had tackled the high price rise of Crude Oil which was ranging to USD 110 to 120 while it is quite low now.
