Student protests over the alleged examination paper leak issue intensified in Nagpur on Friday as a large number of students and youth gathered at Samvidhan Square, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and strict action against those responsible for compromising the country’s examination system.
The demonstration comes despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent assurance of stringent action against paper leak accused and the government’s announcement to establish fast-track courts for speedy disposal of such cases. Protesters maintained that they would continue their agitation until accountability is fixed and comprehensive reforms are implemented to safeguard students’ futures.
The protest also witnessed the participation of Akanksha Chaturvedi’s mother, whose presence added an emotional dimension to the demonstration. Protesters said the movement has grown beyond political affiliations and now reflects the collective voice of students across the country seeking justice, transparency, and credibility in the examination process.
