The Annual Social event dealing with a sensitive aspects of human relationship ‘Ko Jagarti’ organized by ‘Om charitable trust’ & ‘Omega Hospital’ was held at ‘Scientific Society Hall’, Laxminagar, Nagpur recently. This year the topic was ‘Bhool Aani Mool’, dealing with two diverse topics of Anaesthesia and parenting.
Dr. Manisha Shembekar, one of the Directors of Omega Hospital and President, ISA, Nagpur City Branch, gave a short address about the history of Anaesthesia, its evolution to its present status as well as the importance of an Anaesthesiologist inside and outside the Operation Theatre.
She requested the audience to understand and appreciate the role of an anaesthesiologist in delivery of healthcare. She also stressed on an Anaesthesiologist’s role as Lifesaver and taking up the responsibility of teaching COLS (Compression only life support) to the general public.
Dr. Salil Kulkarni, a well-known doctor turned writer, composer & singer of Marathi screen, was the Chief Guest for the evening and spoke and discussed at large about parenting. Dr. Chaitanya Shembekar, Director of Omega Hospital participated in the discussion.
At the end of the program, under the month-long WRAH (World Restart a Heart) event, COLS was taught to people and given hands-on training on manikin by Dr. Sheetal Dalal, Past President ISA NCB & Dr. Soma Cham, Hon. Secretary, ISA NCB.
