City shutler Jayendra Dhole triumphed in the Yonex-Sunrise All India Masters Ranking Badminton Tournament, at the Dhanwate National College Hall here on Wednesday.

In the men’s doubles 40 plus final, Dhole and Ashish Khedikar got a walkover from their Maharashtra counterparts Jagjit Khandagale and Shivkiran Singh Thakur. The two city players Makode and Anamika failed to rise to the occasion and had to be satisfied with the second spots as they lost their respective finals.

Mayor Sandeep Joshi was the chief guest and distributed the prizes. NDBA president Kunda Vijaykar, NDBA secretary Mangesh Kashikar and other NDBA officials were present on the occasion.
