Faiz hits 136 as Vidarbha score 288

Left-handed Faiz Fazal scored a century as Vidarbha scored 288 for four wickets against Rajasthan in Ranji Trophy Elite Group match at VCA Jamtha Stadium on Tuesday.
Faiz scored 136 in 267 balls with the help of 13 boundaries and one six whereas Jaffer hit 60 in 177 balls hitting eight boundaries.

At stumps young Mohit Kale was batting on 29 in the company of Akshay Wadkar (8). Earlier in the morning after the departure of opener S Ramaswamy (2) in the second over, Faiz and Wasim Jaffer made 125 run partnership for second wicket.

After lunch Faiz reached to 50-run mark and then Jaffer followed him. When they were going solid, TM Haq dismissed Jaffer with 129 runs on board. After his departure Ganesh Satish (43, 84 b, 5×4, 1×6) gave some good company to the skipper and they added 109run for third wicket partnership.

M K Lomror caught and bowled Ganesh Satish with 238 runs on board and broke the partnership. Fazal became second victim of Haq as he was caught by wicketkeeper Chetna Bist on te score of 274.
