Sampath Kulal and Akshita Mangrulkar emerged champions in the men’s and women’s categories respectively in the Inter Collegiate Badminton Tournament organized by G H Raisoni Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur at Mankapur Indoor Stadium recently.
Sampat bagged the title defeating Harshit Verma.In the women section; Akshita recorded the victory over Aditi Mishra. The winners got Rs 5,000 and trophy whereas the runners-up walked away with Rs 3,000 and trophy. GHRIT principal Sudhir Juare, co-ordinator Anupam Chaube, sports officer IS Randhawa graced the prize distribution function. The two days event received overwhelming response from the shuttlers across Nagpur. Total 84 shuttlers participated in the tournament. The staff, non teaching staff & students of GHRIIT worked hard for the success of the event.
