SJAN-Raisoni Achievers sports awards distributed

The 22nd edition of SJAN-GH Raisoni Achievers Awards ceremony was held in the city on Sunday. Ace rifle shooter Tejaswini Sawant was the chief guest on the occasion.

Vidarbha all-rounder Aditya Sarvate, shuttler Mugdha Agrey, chess International Master (IM) Sankalp Gupta and promising boxer Alfiya Khan Pathan were honoured whereas noted sports organiser Gajanan Burde was given away best organiser award.Somalwar Nikalas High School and LAD College, Gandhi Nagar were honoured for sports promotion.

Mayor Sandip Joshi, director of Raisoi Group OP Bihade, Pranav Sharma of Baidyanath Ayurved Bhavan, PRO of Raisoni Group Amit Gandhare, Dr Mrunal naik of GH Raisoni Sports and Cultural Foundation and SJAN president Kishor Bagde shared the dais.Tejaswini Sawant urged the budding sportsperson to become an ideal for the next generation. She said, this award is a motivation for you to perform better and live up to the expectations of people.

Mayor Sandip Joshi heaped praise on Tejaswini in his speech. He also informed that Khasdar Krida Mahotsav would get underway in the city from January 12. Last year, 32000 players had participated in the event and he is hopeful and this time more players would showcase their skill.Amit Gandhare also expressed his views on the occasion. SJAN president Kishor Bagde gave introductory remark. The family members of Gajanan Burde, Alfia and Sankap received the award on their behalf.
