TRADERS STAGE MASSIVE HALLA BOL RALLY TODAY AGAINST AMAZON & FLIPKART BJP SHOULD DECLARE A TRADER AS CHIEF MINISTER CANDIDATE IN DELHI

Further intensifying the edge of its national movement against e-commerce companies like Amazon and Flipkart, today, on the third day of the National Traders Convention of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) being held in Delhi, the CAIT organized a massive ” Holla Bol Rally” at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan. where the traders lashed out both at Amazon & Flipkart for violating the FDI policy and distorting the retail trade of India. More than 20 thousand strong crowd at the Rally fiercely launched a crackdown against both companies. On the call of All India Mobile Retailers Association, an associate body of the CAIT, more than 20 lakh mobile stores were closed across the country today.

CAIT today has openly warned that these companies either follow the law or leave India, 7 crore traders across the country will not allow these companies to become the second East India Company. National President of CAIT Mr. BC Bhartia and Secretary General Mr. Praveen Khandelwal announced at the plenary session that a “National Halla Bol” campaign will be launched from January 15 to February 15 under the leadership of CAIT. Thousands of Hall Bol Rallies will be held in different cities of all States.under which various cities of all states of the country and demand the Union and State governments to compel both Amazon and Flipkart and other e commerce companies to fall in line in complying the policy and the law.

The Government must ensure that either they follow the law or leave India. The trading community of the Country will no longer tolerate the excesses of these companies in the e-commerce business and if needed, crores of traders across the country will take the route of streets. Elucidating their strong political intentions, traders from all over the country including Delhi strongly demanded from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, BJP President and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and BJP Working President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, at a Halla Bol rally that the BJP should declare a trader as a candidate for the post of Chief Minister of Delhi which will polarised the political atmosphere of Delhi and the Country across the country in favour of BJP in a big way. With this, more than 15 lakh traders of Delhi, their employees and their families of more than 40 lakhs people will unilaterally support the BJP, whereas the support of 7 crore traders fromall over the country will strengthen the BJP and the Government. No Government in Delhi can be formed without support of trading community as it is one of the major and deciding vote bank.

Speaking on e-commerce companies, Mr. Bhartia and Mr. Khandelwal said that e-commerce companies like Amazon and Flipkart are economic terrorists who want to monopolise the market and set up their exclusive control on ecommerce and retail trade and then loot the Country. These companies are firmly engaged in hollowing out the roots of the Indian economy by committing massive tax evasion of GST and income tax! Therefore, these companies are one of the biggest tax evaders of the country. Now, if the government does not teach them a lesson, then the traders will be forced to teach these companies a lesson in their own way.

Mr. Bhartia and Mr. Khandelwal openly said that that two simultaneous policies can’t work where these companies are allowed to dodge the policy and the law and the traders continue to comply the law and subject to insinuations be these companies. This will not work in any more country and traders across are prepared to retort in a big way.

Either the government should take action against these companies immediately or else the traders will be forced to launch a big movement across the country from road to parliament and in this movement not only traders but also hawkers, transport, small scale industries, consumers etc. will be joining hands with CAIT.
