Big Ben defeated Nagpur Blues 1-0 to start their campaign on winning note in the football tournament organised under the third edition of Khasdar Krida Mahotsav at SECR’s Motibagh ground on Monday.
After playing a barren first half, Giftson Saji scored the much-awaited goal for Big Ben. Blues also tried their best to score an equalizer for in vain.
Saji was declared the best player if the match received a cash prize of Rs 1,000. From losing side, Ataur-Rehman got Rs 1,000/ NMC health committee chairman Nagesh Sahara inaugurated the tournament.
