A delegation from Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA) along with Joint Director Industries, General Manager â€“ DIC and Regional Officer â€“ MIDC, Nagpur met Shri Dr Sanjeev Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, Nagpur Division and Shri RavindraÂ Thakare, Collector & District Magistrate of Nagpur today for getting clarifications in the order issued by O/o the District Magistrate, Nagpur dated 20.03.2020 regarding the closure of all private, corporate, establishments to be completely shut down till 31stÂ March 2020.
As per discussions and directives of the Honâ€™ble District Collector, Nagpur, it is obligatory to all the industries to keep their units closed till 31stÂ March 2020 including continuous process industries.
Continuous process industries may need some time to close down and for that, they are requested to seek the required time period from Joint Director of Industries, Nagpur.
Honâ€™ble Collector has allowed operation of the following Essential Commodities i.e. (1) Grocery, (2) Milk / Milk Products, (3) Food & Vegetables, (4) Pharmaceutical.
Those, who are the links in supply chain activities related to above mentioned Essential Commodities can also keep the operations going.Â However, it is compulsory to seek clarifications and permissions from Joint Director of Industries, 2ndÂ Floor, Udyog Bhawan, Civil Lines, Nagpur â€“ 440 001.
The delegation included Suresh Rathi, President â€“ VIA, Atul Pande, Immd Past President â€“ VIA, Pravin Tapadia, Past President â€“ VIA, Rohit Bajaj, former Vice President, Dr Suhas Buddhe, Vice President â€“ VIA. Shri Ashok Dharmadhikari, JDI, Shri G O Bharti, GM-DIC, Shri B A Yadav, RO â€“ MIDC, Nagpur were also prominently present and interacted.
