In the treatment of novel coronavirus patients,The Academy of Medical Sciences donated a transport ventilator to Mayo Hospital in the city.
The academy also donated 100 personel protection equipment(PPE) kits to GMCH and 200 kits to Mayo.
Mayo did not have a transport ventilator.Hence,it was difficult to transport the corona patients on ventilator from one ward to other.The initiative was taken by president of Academy of Medical Sciences Dr.Nirmal Jaiswal and secretary Dr.Sanjay Jain.
The ventilator has handed over to dean of Mayo Dr.Ajay Keoliya.The academy also donated 100 PPE kits to GMCH.Medical superintendent of GMCH Dr Avinash Gawande and Dr.Rajesh Gosawi were present on the occasion.
