Additional Consumer Complaints Redressal Forum orders MD India Insurance Co pay claim amount to customer

Consumer Redressal Forum Directs Pawansoot Realtors to Pay Dues

Additional Consumer Complaints Redressal Forum has issued order to the concerned officer of MD India Health Insurance TPA company to pay health insurance amount to the complainant as per rules with nine percent rate of interest from September 29, 2016.The forum also asked the company to pay Rs.15000 towards mental and physical harassment suffered by the consumer along with Rs.10000 towards disposal of the case. The ruling was given by the members of the forum, namely Smita Chandekar and Avinash Prabhune.

The name of the complainant has been identified as Rashmi Harshal Dabli, a resident of shivaji nagar.As per information, Rashmi Harshal Dabli had been admitted to a hospital in New Delhi for her stomach ailment. She underwent diagnostics and surgical procedures during her treatment and entailing expenditure of Rs.1, 02,146.After that Rashmi Harshal Dabli filed a claim with the M D Insurance Company.

However, she was told that infertility treatment could not be included in the insurance claim and her claim stood rejected on September 29, 2016.Dabli took exception to the ruling by contending that she had undergone treatment of abdomen and nothing to do with her infertility. Following final hearing and taking into consideration, the forum gave the said ruling.
