AAI Kusum Sahare Foundation in association with Nagpur Municipal Corporation has been organising the football tournament at Reshimbagh ground for last one decade. This year due to Covid-19 pandemic the tournament has been  postponed.

However to remain connected with the game of football, the foundation is organising a training camp for Under-16 players wherein noted coaches of the country will train the players in the summer. This is the brain child of foundation president and former NMC sports committee chairman Nagesh Sahare.

Talking to this newspaper he said, ” Actually this is the 16th year of the tournament but the coronavirus pandemic has forced us to postpone the tournament. However we have decided to organise the camp for Under-16 players in summer”, he said.

Sahare also informed that the coaches from top country clubs like Mohun Bagan, East Bengal,  Odisha FC, FC Goa, Bangalore FC, Hyderabad FC etc will train the budding footballers. Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Railways, Police, Khasdar Krida Mahotsav Organising Committee and Nagpur District Football Association are helping the foundation to organise the camp successfully.

Sahare said the camp will be organised under the guidance of Union minister Nitin Gadkari, former chief  minister Devendra Fadnavis, president of All India Football Federation Prafull Patel at Yashwant Stadium, Police Line Takli ground, Motibagh Stadym, Reshimbagh ground and Ajni ground simultaneously.
