No full lockdown in Nagpur

Guardian Minister Dr. Nitin Raut in a meeting with the officials decided to not impose a full lockdown with a curfew in Nagpur and instead we must focus on treating and fight with Coronavirus.
Corona infection has increased in July as compared to June, and the Guardian Minister has suggested a smart action plan to curb the spread of Covid-19. Our plans should be emphasized on reducing the rising death toll in urban and rural areas. Raut said lockdown is not an option but corona can be brought under control if citizens follow self-discipline.

As the number of patients increases, additional manpower is required. Especially the fourth class staff and cleaning workers will be required in large numbers, said Dr. Mitra said. The Guardian Minister said that manpower should be made available through a private agency for this pandemic. However, the concerned agency should have the necessary cleaning equipment, he said.
He was speaking at a Corona review meeting held today at the Divisional Commissioner’s Office. Divisional Commissioner Dr. Sanjeev Kumar along with Commissioner of Police Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay, Municipal Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe, and District Collector Ravindra Thackeray along with other officials were present.
While Mayor Sandeep Joshi said that they will oppose the decision if lockdown is imposed again. He was in a separate meeting with officials to discuss whether to bring lockdown in Nagpur or not decided.
