Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today addressed the state on the situation of COVID-19 in Maharashtra. I would like to thank the people of Maharashtra for their support and cooperation during the pandemic.
With Mission begin again we are trying to bring functioning back on track and thus we gave permission to various businesses he said. Corona spread is no rise and is spreading rapidly in rural areas also.
Even though this is a tough situation but Maharashtra Government is still doing their best and have been working in every situation. In the last few days, we have done a lot of work on fighting the coronavirus and we will fight the political crisis too.
Majhe kutumbh maji Jawabdari campaign, speaking to the state CM said that the government will run a campaign from September for a month ‘Majhe Kutumbh Maji Jawabdari’ (‘My family-My responsibility’), to fight the COVID19 pandemic in which one should pledge to defend themselves from the deadly virus with the help of a mask. Do not remove your mask, sanitise and wash hands.
Medical Support
Around 3.60 lakh beds have been made available in Maharashtra for COVID-19 be it ICU, oxygen beds, ventilators.
We are increasing COVID-19 dedicated hospitals, beds jumbo Hospitals, setting up doctor’s task force, oxygen beds. We did face a shortage in beds as the cases increased but now we are making sure that the oxygen is available for the treatment.
“As the case is increasing, we will start a testing facility where they will visit the house and take the necessary information and I request all the leaders MLA to take the responsibility of their respective wards and help us in chasing the virusâ€.
Giving example CM said to remember the days when we came home after playing and our mom use to tell us to wash our hands. This is what we need to do it now as well. Now we have to follow those same rules to keep ourselves and our family safe from the deadly virus.
We began bus, train services but in public places, one should follow rules and take precautions. Â We have also given permission to hotels, lodges and we must follow rules while visiting such places.
Relief to Farmers
We promised farmers who had a loan of Rs 2 lakh to relief from their loan and during the assembly session around 29.5 lakh farmers where relived from their loans. Maharashtra Government has aided to the farmers whose crops were destroyed this year.
Around 7.5 lakh malnourished children were given milk allowance while 1.25 lakh women are also given milk allowance. Shiv Bhojan is made available for Rs 5 now.
Relief Help
Maharashtra Government gave Rs 700 crore of relief to those who were affected by Cyclone Nisarga in the districts of Raigad and Ratnagiri. And Rs 18 crore relief funds were given in flood-affected areas of Vidarbha.
Maratha Reservation
On September 9, the apex court directed a stay on the Maratha reservation in public employment and educational institutions. Maharashtra Government is taking suggestion in Marahta and then again will appeal the Court again. Now I urge people that we are working for the same cause and there is no way to protest against the government as we are on the same side and working for the same cause.
I request you to stop all the protest and rallies as it is a time of pandemic and the virus is spreading rapidly.
Till September 13, 10 am Maharashtra registered 22,000 new cases taking the cumulative count to 10.37.765 and registered 29115 total deaths since the deadly coronavirus widespread began in country.
