The anti-encroachment wing of civic administration of the city on Friday demolished the shops in the Kelibagh Road in Mahal as part of the widening of the road. These structures were termed as the hindrance to the works of NMC. On Friday, 9 shops were broken with the property of Raje Sangram Singh Bhosale.
The sub-divisional officer handed over 33 properties to NMC, which were creating impediments to road work. NMC’s demolition squad reached with JCB, truck and workers and started demolishing the structures from Central Avenue to Central Proviences & Berar College. This include property of Raje Sangram Singh Bhonsle. It includes the shops of Rajaram Singh,Laxman Singh,Bharinibai Khanjode,Snehlata Hirde, Purushottam Jais, Nalubai Rahate, Large number of police force was also deployed in view of the protest from traders.
