NVCC submits memorandum, requests MSEDCL to regular supply of power during festive season

A delegation of Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC), the representative organization of 13 lakh traders in Vidarbha called on chief engineer of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) Dilip Dodke, superintendent engineer (Nagpur rural) Narayan Amazare. The NVCC delegation submitted a memorandum to the officials requesting them to maintain uninterrupted supply of power during festive season to the city and mofussil areas.

The delegation also informed MSEDCL authorities that industry and trade sector have been badly affected due to Covid-19 pandemic. Due to lockdown, the traders are facing difficulty and reeling under financial crunch.Eventhough the government has given permission to commence trade and industry partially. However, the power supply in urban and rural Nagpur is not regular which creates difficulties for traders. As the October and November are the peak months of festive season, it is necessary that MSEDCL provides uninterrupted power supply to the trade, industry and citizens and also remove fixed charges. The MSEDCL authorities assured the delegation that they would try to maintain regular and smooth supply of power to various establishments in the city.
