Nag-Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC), the largest trade and Industry organization of Vidarbha, led by its president Ashwin Mehadia called on the newly appointed Principal Chief Commissioner of Income-Tax (PCCIT) Ruby Srivastav and felicitated her on Friday.Ashwin Mehadia on this occasion said that NVCC is confident that the style of functioning of disposing matters speedily by Ruby Srivastava would benefit the traders and enable them to get total co-operation from her. He also hoped that the pendency of cases would also be reduced by her by following due legal procedure.
Ruby Srivastava in reply to her felicitation said that I-T department would help the traders in all possible ways. She also urged traders to take benefit of Vivad Se Vishwas scheme.NVCC Secretary Ramavatar Totla said that in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the last date for taking benefit under the said scheme must be extended.Convenor of the sub-committee of direct taxes of NVCC Sandeep Jotwani narrated the problems faced by the traders in filing I-T returns. He also urged to extend the last date of filing I-T returns by GST, ROC, charity commissioner and many other departments beyond December 31.
