According to a meteorologist of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Nagpurians may experience rains with lightning and thunderstorm between December 14 and 16. Also, rains may hit some parts of Vidarbha during the period.
IMD stated thta South East parts of Nagpur will get rains in next 3-4 days, and cloudy weather will restrict the winter chill till December 20.â€
A low pressure area in Arabian Sea increased the moisture level in upper air which is said to be the reason behind cloudy weather and rains in the region.
As per the information recieved from weather depeartment, a cyclonic effect which is normally happens in Bay of Bengal during this period, is creating Western Disturbance in Arabian Sea. This effect has resulted in rise in temperatures in upper air causing change in weather.
Meanwhile, the orange city will experience the winter chill again after December 21 which will last till January 15, 2021.
The minimum temperature will also reduce during the last week of December in Nagpur and the city is likely to experience the lowest minimum by 6 degree Celsius this year, said the meteorologist.
Due to cloudy weather, the minimum temperature in Nagpur on Saturday was 18.8 degree Celsius while the maximum was 30.0 degrees. The other districts in Vidarbha also witnessed drop in temperature.
