Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar on Wednesday reprimanded the traffic branch and directed them to improve the traffic situation in the city. Despite this, complaints of extortion by the traffic personnel following pressure from the senior officials are also being received. And in the meeting of traffic branch held on Tuesday CP Amitesh Kumar made clear to the personnel that any kind of extortion and misbehaviour will not be tolerated. He also warned that those who are found to be involved in such activities will have to face dare consequences. CP also made it clear that no one cannot be harassed unnecessarily in the name of the action in issuing challan.
