NMC to reopen stadium for city athletes

Nagpur Municipal Corporation on Fridays Fridays annouced that city athletes can use stadium for pratice but will see no gatherings of crowd. Guidelines have been issued in this regard.

As per the directive given by State Government, organization of sports competitions, workshops or training camps at any level is strictly prohibited.
The Sports and Cultural Department of the Corporation stated that It is mandatory for all players to follow all the rules regarding COVID-19 while practicing on the field.

Players, parents, coaches are strictly forbidden to come to the practice place if they have symptoms of covid.

In case of violation of government guidelines, strict action will be taken against the concerned organizers and organizations as per the rules, warned Piyush Ambulkar, Sports Officer, Corporation.

Government Rules

– Care should be taken not to crowd the practice place. 10 to 15 players should come for practice at the time allotted to them.

– The practice time should be different for players below 14 years. And he should be careful not to participate in practice with senior players.

– After each batch, sports equipment should be cleaned and sanitized in accordance with the standard procedure.

– Any player or parent with cold, cough or fever should not be allowed to enter the training ground.

.- Sports competitions or workshops and training camps at any level should not be organized till further orders of the Government.

Before starting the practice of all sports, the standard operating protocol by the government should be observed and followed.
