COVID fear, despite starting of classes, only 25% students attending schools

As we know the state government has given permission to the schools to conduct classes of students from Class 9 to Class 12.After the order, some schools in the city have continued regular classes, but only 25 percent students are attending schools in the district. The classes have commenced from December 14 in Nagpur rural while classes have started from January 4 under Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) limit. According to the reports of the education department of the Nagpur district, only 25 percent of students remain present in the schools.

The attendance of the students has reached 34 percent in rural areas while in city only 16 percent of students are reaching the schools. With the start of 1209 schools in Nagpur district from class 9 to class 12,272870 students have taken admission. This includes 131242 students in 646 of rural and 141628 students in 563 schools under NMC limit. When the school restarted, on the first day, 16000 students recorded their attendance. As on date, the number of students present in schools is 45079 only. The number of students in the city was expected to increase faster than in rural areas. But in 8 days only 8000 students have increased. Not a single student was found to be positive in rural areas in the last month. Precautions are being taken in schools. There is still panic among the parents in city. So the number of students is not increasing in city.
