State-level kho-kho tournament in Ramtek from February 18 to 21

Shriram Krida Mandal, Musewadi, Ramtek is organizing State-level kho-kho tournament from February 18 to 21 at the Matoshri Kashidevi College ground, Musewadi. The tourney will be held under the auspices of Vidarbha Kho-Kho Association.

The four-day tourney will be held under the guidance of Ramtek MLA Adv Ashish Jaiswal. Nagpur’s Nav Maharashtra Krida Mandal will provide the special support.

Addressing a press conference at the SJAN office here on Thursday, organizers said 16 teams in the men’s section and eight women’s teams will vie for the top honours.

Matches will be held at three courts. The tourney will be conducted on league cum knockout basis, informed organizers.

The inauguration will be held at 4 pm on February 18. On February 21, semifinals will be played in the morning hours, while finals will take place in the evening session.

The prize distribution function will be held soon after the finals. Winners and runners-up will get cash prizes besides attractive trophies. The best performers will be rewarded with individual trophies.

Organizers will make lodging and boarding arrangements of the players, umpires and officials.

In the last tournament held in 2018, Tuljai Krida Mandal, Khallar triumphed in the men’s section, while Vidarbha Krida Mandal, Katol emerged champions in the women’s category.
