Nagpur recieved heavy rainfall on June 8 afternoon. Within half an hour the heavy rain soaked the city due to which in many low level areas water was lodged.

Due to the heavy rain and the ghastly wind many trees were uprooted in various areas in Nagpur eventually affecting the traffic.

Regional Meteorological Center Nagpur had issued a warning of thunderstorm with lightning & light to moderate rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over Buldhana, Amravati, Akola, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim, Yavatmal districts of Vidarbha.

While in RMC Nagpur has predicted that thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) at one or two places in Orange City for the next 5 days.
