On the pretex of marriage constable rapes woman, case filed

A police constable raped a divorced woman working in event management company on the pretext of marriage.

After the complaint of the woman Gittikhadan police registered a case against Ashish Prakash Kalsarpe (28), a resident of Police Line Quarter.

As per the information, the woman got divorced from her husband in 2009. Later, she started working in an event management company in Goa. Due to illness of her mother, she returned to Nagpur. She developed a friendship with on Facebook in October 2020. Ashish told her that he is bodybuilding trainer.

According to complaint of the woman, Ashish called her in the Police Line Quarter on November 28, 2020 to give her information about diet plan and workout. Taking advantage of the situation he mixed sedatives in her coffee. When she fell unconscious, he made physical relationship with her.

Later when she regained consciousness, she scolded Ashish. Ashish promised to marry her and both continued the relationship.

On November 29, Ashish reached the woman’s house with mangal sutra, vermillion and sweets. He pretended to marry the woman and after that he continued to make physical relationships with the woman.

He also got hefty amount from the woman. After some time the woman started pressurising Ashish for legal marriage. Ashish then refused to marry her but still continued to put pressure on the woman for physical relationship. 

A case has been registered at Gittikhadan police against constabl Ashish Kalsarpe.
