In another horrific incident, a 22-year-old youth ended his life by jumping in Futala Lake on Wednesday morning in full public view.
The deceased has been identified as Avinash Sudip Walde (22) resident of Control Wadi, Ambedkar Nagar, Near Ganesh Square.
According to the information, around 9 am Avinash jumped in Futala Lake in full public view on Wednesday. Acting swiftly nearby people pulled him out of the water and alerted the cops. However, doctors at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) declared him dead upon arrival.
The reason behind the harsh step is still unknown. Ambazari police have registered a case of accidental death and have begun the further probe.
This is the second such incident in the Futala area earlier on July 12 a 19-year old youth also jumped in Futala Lake with his motorcycle. After much effort, the rescue team managed to pull out the body of the youth from the lake.
