Celebrate Ganesh Utsav with simplicity: Nitin Raut

State’s Energy and District Guardian Minister Dr. Nitin Raut has expressed his best wishes to devotees on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Raut said that Lokmanya Tilak made Ganeshotsav public with the intention of uniting people to fight against injustice. Now in the wake of pandemic our aim is to to control the spread of the novel virus.

Cosidering, third wave predictions, this festival is a very risky period and therefore, while celebrating the festival, citizens should follow all the COVID norms very carefully while worshipping Ganaraya, he clarified.

Everyone needs to be careful that the corona does not spread further during the public holidays, which are due to the large number of people using the public transport system.

We are going to celebrate this festival every year. Bappa will give darshan every year. Therefore, he appealed to set an example of how to celebrate this festival by avoiding crowds and taking proper measures.

The administration has requested online viewing instead of physicaly visiting Ganesh pandals. Ganesh devotees should accept this request of the administration. Ganesh Mandals should make online  Darshan available for devotees through various social media platforms.

This year the procession has also been restricted. Raut requested all the devotees to celebrate Ganesh Utsav in a very simple manner and to follow instructions issued by the administration from time to time.
