Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) held a free eye and dental camp at Santaji Hall in Hiwri Nagar on Monday in which many residents from the area took benefit. Dayashankar Tiwari, the Mayor, inaugurated the camp in presence of Narendra (Balya) Borkar, Deputy Leader of the ruling party.

NMC is organising 75 eye camps in cooperation with Mahatme Eye Bank at different localities of the city with the initiative of the Mayor under Aazadi – 75 Utsava. In the abovesaid camp, a team of doctors examined the eyes of the patients, gave them spects numbers and guided the needy persons on cataract operations. In the dental camp, the team of doctors examined the patients, cleaned teeth and made filling. The team also guided the persons having the threat of throat cancer.
In the case of dental cases, the patients will get further treatment at government rates in the Government Dental College & Hospital, informed Dr Vijay Joshi, Medical Health Officer and added that the patients from such camps going there would get the facility of separate cell and arrangement.
