NephroPlus launches dialysis centre in association with CARE Hospital, expands its footprint in Nagpur

NephroPlus, Asia’s largest dialysis network and a pioneer in redefining dialysis care in India, announced its association with one of India’s leading healthcare providers – CARE Hospitals today. With this strategic collaboration, NephroPlus adds another feather to its cap by expanding its dialysis operations in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The partners will aim at providing world-class and high-quality dialysis services for kidney patients in the Nagpur region.

The collaboration between NephroPlus and CARE Hospitals will provide high-quality treatment in terms of Haemodialysis procedures, along with critical care services including plasmapheresis, CRRT, HDF, and SLED. The partnership will also allow people on dialysis to lead a life close to normal by conducting regular support group meetings and events for dialysis people. These programs will provide patients a platform to share their experiences, overcome their inhibitions, and boost their confidence in life.

As per recent statistics revealed by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), over 7,000 patients are seeking advantage of the NMC dialysis scheme per year. At CARE Hospital, over 2000 plus patients visit the OPD centre for kidney related issues. It is also estimated that about 200,000 new patients develop end-stage kidney failure every year in India. More than 75 lakh patients live with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), and less than 30% of patients manage to get dialysis in India.

Driven by a patient-centric approach where each patient is treated as a ‘guest’, NephroPlus encourages individuals on dialysis to lead lives as close to normal as possible. This partnership which is equipped with world-class facilities and experienced professionals will focus on making quality dialysis accessible and affordable for all in these regions.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Vikram Vuppala, Founder & CEO of, NephroPlus said, â€œCare Hospitals is one of the leading healthcare providers in India, and we are extremely delighted to partner with them in Nagpur. We have witnessed a growing demand for dialysis in Nagpur, and as a specialized dialysis care network in India with world-class equipment and trained professionals, we are sure we will be able to bridge the accessibility and affordability gap in this region. We are thankful to CARE Hospitals for bestowing their trust in NephroPlus, and we are happy to stand strong to our commitment towards redefining dialysis across the country with our protocols-based operations and patient-centric approach.”

Elaborating on the association, Dr. AshwinikumarKhandekar, Nephrologist CARE Hospitals said, “NephroPlus is the largest dialysis care network in India with decade-long experience of operating dialysis centres in multiple locations across the country. We are extremely happy to associate with NephroPlus as a strategic partner for our dialysis program at CARE hospitals, Nagpur, and we are confident that our partnership will help us provide world-class dialysis care to kidney disorder patients in the region. We will work closely with NephroPlus and oversee the clinical program to ensure the highest standards of dialysis treatment.”
