Sameer Wakhede has been divested of investigation in Cruise drugs racket case, in which he had arrested Aryan Khan and others.
Wakhede has been removed from the case following serious allegations leveled against him by Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik.
Wakhede who received support from a section of people as crusader against drugs racket, is facing serious charges relating to his caste certificate and misusing some tented persons in the case.
One of the persons, who signed as witness in the Cruise case, has been arrested by Pune police. He, named Gosavi, is also facing corruption charges and was reported absconding.
