On the third day today, seven ST buses left Ganeshpeth Main Bus Station here for Ramtek, Mauda, Umrer, Saoner, Katol in the district and for Bhandara. The drivers/conductors and employees are joining their duties gradually, despite on-going indefinite strike to press the demand for merger of MSRTC with the government.
The buses made 24 trips covering a distance of 1239 km on Wednesday. MSRTC earned a revnue of Rs 50,000/- by way of operating these buses. Passengers have to make spot booking and ware masks while boarding the bus.

According to reliable sources, passengers from tehsil places and rural areas, especially school-going students have now started getting communication facilities. The authorities feel that the number of bus operations will increase in a couple of days, they added.
