The Nuisance Detection Squad of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) checked kite shops in the city and seized 515 plastic kites on Friday. It also recovered a fine of Rs 8,000/- from the owners.
The squad checked 21 kite shops in Laxminagar and Hanuman Nagar and seized 515 plastic kites. It checked in all 46 shops in 10 zones. Moreover, the squad also took action against three establishments and recovered a fine of Rs 15,000/- from them. It checked 34 establishments and mangal karyalayas.
The action was taken under the guidance of Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner, and Veersen Tambe, Chief of the squad.
