The legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last at Breach Candy hospital this morning. She was 92.
Lata Didi was hospitalised about a month back for treatment on pneumonia and Covid. She was kept in ICU looking into her age. Two day national mourning declared following death of Lata Mangeshkar; Flag to fly at half mast.
Born on Sept 28, 1929, she was born with melodious voice and took initial lessons from her father Deenanath Mangeshkar.
She leaves behind sisters Meena Khadikar, Asha Bhonsale, Usha Mangeshkar and brother Hridaynath. Last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park in the evening.
