KHASDAR AUDYOGIK MAHOTSAV

During the second day of Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav organized by MSME-DI, Nagpur, Ministry of MSME. Govt. of India, in association with various Industries Organizations of Vidarbha region, Meeting with Principals/Directors and faculties from various Engineering Colleges of Vidarbha was organized in which there was huge response from colleges was received.

Principals of VNIT, YCCE, RCOEM, S.B.Jain College, Saint Vincent Pallotti, G.H.Raisoni College of Engineering, CIPET, Aurangabad, Govt, Engineering College, IIIT College Nagpur were present.

Dr. Subhash Bhamre, MP and Ex Minister of State for Defense, Dhule and Shri Hemant Godse, MP, Nashik were present during the seminar. The meeting was chaired by Shri P.M.Parlewar, Director (Maharashtra) MSME-DI, Nagpur and presided over by Shri C.G.Shegaonkar, President, MIDC Industries Association, Hingna, Nagpur. Shri Nitin Lonkar, Executive President, Butibori Manufacturers Association (BMA) Shri Zulfesh Shah CA and President, COSIA were also present.

In the beginning, Shri P.M.Parlewar, welcomed the dignitaries on the dais with floral bouquets and also explained the objective of the meeting. He said that the Industry-Institutions tie up can immensely help in the industrialization of Vidarbha region. He said that to create awareness amongst the young engineering students and for promotion of skill development engineering institutions can play a very vital role. He also stressed the need that the engineering colleges should give stress particularly on innovation, incubation and design ideas. He asked the Principals of engineering colleges to put their views and suggestions.

Dr. Subhash Bhamre, MP said that by sharing the experiences and problems the problems can be solved and solution can be found. He congratulated MSME-DI for organizing Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav which will create awareness amongst the young generation and prospective and existing entrepreneurs about entrepreneurship. He said that MSME is very important sector next to agriculture in terms of contribution of GDP. He said that the Technical institutions are as good as Incubation Hub. For the development and industrialization of the region, technology transfer is the mantra, he said.

Dr. Padole, Principal, VNIT,Nadgpur said that VNIT is connected to MSME and KVIC from the last 10 to 15 years. He said that Skill Development Programmes are organized in VNIT. He said that if all the NITs and IITs are involved then it will be great. He suggested that Incubation must be made an important aspect of all the institutions and there must be a subject on entrepreneurship which should be made mandatory from the first year itself.

Waghe, Principal, YCCE suggested that local associations, MSME should get involved with Institutions for creating awareness about entrepreneurship in the young generation. For this he suggested that MSME-DI should take continuous campaigns for the students and arrange the talks of successful entrepreneurs to motivate them.
Dr.Borkar, Principal, Govt. Engineering College, Nagpur said that they are planning to start Incubation centre with the help of AICTE followed by entrepreneurship internship to the students.

Dr.Atish ,Head of Incubation cell, IIIT Nagpur said that still there is more need to stress upon entrepreneurship as people are averse to taking risks. For this purpose, entrepreneurship should be made a core and compulsory subject from the initial stages.

P.M.Parlewar, Director, MSME-DI informed that recently Ministry of MSME has launched revised Innovation with the name MSME Champions Scheme under which stress is given on incubation innovation and design. He appealed to all the engineering students and colleges to take benefit of the scheme.

C.G.Shegaonkar, President, MIA, Hingna while speaking said that MIDC Industries Association is one of the oldest Associations of Vidarbha and he extended all the possible help to the engineering colleges for the development and growth of industries in vidarbha.

Nitin Lonkar, Executive President, Butibori Manufacturers Association said that there should be continuity and interaction between Institutions and industries associations to create a good relationship. Hub and spoke model will give a good result, he stated. It will change the industrial scenario of the region.The meeting ended with vote of thanks.

Loan mela was also organized on the same day for existing and prospective entrepreneurs wherein representatives from four nationalized banks like Canara Bank, Bank of India, Union Bank and State Bank of India considered the loan cases on the basis of merit.

All prospective and existing entrepreneurs start ups students of engineering colleges and others are appealed to participate in the Mega event to grab the opportunity for entrepreneurship.
