For the first time, an aeromodeling show 2020 will be held in the city on March 27 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Divisional Sports Complex in Mankapur.
Sunil Kedar, Maharashtra’s sports and youth welfare minister, told reporters on Sunday that Maharashtra’s NCC cadets had won first place in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi for the first time in seven years. To encourage students, particularly NCC cadets, an aeromodeling display has been organised. The major goal of putting on this event is to raise student knowledge in aeromodeling and to inform them about NCC.

Kedar said horse riding show of NCC cadets, their cultural programme, felici tation of NCC cadets at the hand of guests, total six NCC stalls and a huge
pavilion would be the main attraction of the show.
Around 5,-000 students from various city schools will witness the show along with parents citizens and VIPS. Around 650 NCC cadets will also remain present on the occasion.
Shekhar Patil, Deputy director of sports DSO Avinash Pund, Col Paramvir Sharma of NCC, Rajesh Joshi and others were present at the press conference.
State Sports Minister Sunil Kedar said that the Maharashtra government has now decided to give priority to NCC students in police recruitment as per the new GR.
