“Massage Therapy by Ashadeep is a step towards self reliance of visually impaired ” : Dr. Prakash Deo

“Massage Therapy training by Ashadeep is a step towards self reliance of visually impaired ” mentioned Dr. Prakash Deo, Prsident IMA,Nagpur, during validictory programm of the training . This special training for visually visually impaired persons was conducted by Ashadeep Apang Mahila-Bal Vikas Sanstha’s Divyang Prerna Kendra in association with Vidarbha Samshodhan Mandal. Dr. Pratima Shastri, President, presented the report of the training camp.She appreciated visually impaired trainer Shri. Ajay Kalse for his special methods of training , and congratulated all the trainees. Shri. Ajay Kaise expressed satisfaction ,that with support from Ashadeep , such training was possible at Nagpur.

On this occasion, the advisor of the organization and the chief guest of the program, Dr. Prakash Deo was felicitated for being elected as the President of the Nagpur Chapter of the Indian Medical Association. Dr.Deo remarked that the trainees as well as the organization will continue to flourish to provide many more opportunities to the Divyanga. He also promised to support medical treatment of differently abled persons through Indian Medical Association.
He also mentioned collaborative activity for community nutrition , with involvement of Ashadeep Health and Nutrition centre.

Dr. Gautam Jogad (Panchakarma specialist) promised to promote these trainees by circulating their contact details to the group of Ayurvedic doctors and provide opportunities in nearby areas. He also spoke about the plan to impart Panchakarma training to partially sighted trainees.
Secretary of West Nagpur Jain Society Shri. By Pawanji Khabia expressed interest that he would spread the word about benevolent initiatives of Ashadeep with the Jain community. As a CA himself, he would also like to extend a helping hand to the organization from the CSR fund.

Information about Government schemes for the visually impaired, the advantage s of those schemes and how they helped the disabled during the lockdown, was, in detail given by Mr. Revaramji Tembhurnikar.

Marksheets, certificates, massage kits( kit bag sponsored by the West Nagpur Jain community) were distributed to all the trainees by the dignitaries, and Smt Pooja Tated ( head of women’s wing of Jain Samaj Nagpur ) . Kits were sponsored by women’s wing of Nagpur Jain samaj. Ashadeep’s e-magazine was released on the occasion.

In his concluding remarks, Shri. Lalasaheb Patil reviewed the work done by the organization and complimented the President and all her team members for working hard in all their capabilities to fulfill the dreams of Ushatai Sant. He extended his best wishes for its future initiatives.

Dr. Vrinda Joglekar compered the program and intoduced the guests for the event.
Supriya Kekatpure announced the results of the trainees and
Secretary Aparna Kulkarni proposed the vote of thanks.
