A raid was conducted by team of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Officials, Nagpur Branch Office, on May 20 at the premises of M/s Surya & Company, situated at 101, krishna Leela Apartment, Near Timbar Bhawan, Lakadganj, Nagpur.
During the raid it was found that they were engaged in selling Electronics & IT Products like;
The “Electronics & IT Products” are under the mandatory registration scheme vide Notification No. S.O. 1248(E) dated 18th March 2021 issued by Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India.
Further appropriate legal actions as per the provisions of BIS Act 2016 & Notification No. S.O. 1248(E) dated 18th March 2021 issued by Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India will be initiated against the M/s Surya & Company, and its partners/proprietors.
The general public are advised to not purchase IMEE brand of above indicated products Manufactured and marketed by of M/s Surya & Company and Brand-IMEE as these are spuriously manufactured without following BIS norms, Ministry of Electronics & IT norms and relevant Indian Standards, such spurious products may be harmful to the user and can create health hazards at large
