Distt-level football matches to begin in 1st week of July

District Sport Office will organise district-level football matches in the first week of July for selecting players for Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football League to be held from September 1 to October 17. The department will organise football matches on district, division and State levels and finally select players in Maharashtra team to take part in the league.

Subrato Mukherjee Sports Education Society has organised the football league. The department will select players for Maharashtra team for participating in this national-level league.

The Sports Office will organise matches for boys below 14 years of age and boys/girls below 17 years of age. The football team wanting to participate in the matches should register the names of players and team with District Sports Office, Nagpur, till 5 pm on June 28 with Rs 250 State Board school and Rs 500 CBSC school.

The District Sports Office will take a decision in case the administrative issues certain instructions due to possible increasing covid cases. Pallavi Dhatrak, District Sports Office, appealed to different football teams to participate in the matches in large numbers.
