The installation of new team of Lions Club of Nagpur Legend for the year 2022-23 was held on 30th July 2022at MI Club. Mrs. Mangala Kumar, outgoing President welcomed the guests and expressed herpleasure about the performance of the club and the awards received throughout his tenure. Mr. Vinayak Kewadkar was installed as the new President at the hands of Mr. Shravan Kumar, District Governor of Lions District no. 3234H1. Mrs. PallaviWanjari was installed as the Secretary and Mr. Ajit Ranade as the Treasurer. Mr. Shravan Kumar, Chief Guest, appreciated the excellent work done by the club and presented the Pins of Lions Clubs International to active members of the club. Dr. Viral Shah, Region Chairperson was the Guest of Honour and he inducted the new members into the club. The club felicitated Mr. Mayuresh Katyayan, Mrs. Manisha Thakar, Mr. Sampat Tidke and Mrs. Sheela Tidke for becoming the Mervin Jones Fellows (MJF) in the current year.Â
Other office bearers who were installed include Mr. Mayuresh Katyayan, Mr. Anjan Biswas and Mr. Ashish Khemani as Vice Presidents, Dr. Vikram Desai as Membership Director, Mr. Sampat Tidke as Tamer, Mr. Ravindra Hedaoo as Tail Twister, Mr. Shantanu Khandelwal as Joint Secretary, Mr. Harish Kalikar as Joint Treasurer, Mr. Rahul Trivedi as Activity Chairman, Mr. Arjun Bhojwani, Mr. Chandrapal Choksey, Mrs. LeenaTrivedi,Mr. Qayyum Parekh, Mr. Madhao Vichore, Mr. JagdishKapoor and Mr. Girish Singh as the directors. Mrs. ManishaThakar was appointed as Club Administrator, Mrs. Kshitija Kalikar as Co-chairman of activities, Mrs. Bandana Khandelwal as LCIF Chairman, Mrs. Neha Khemani as Leo Advisor, Dr. Smita Desai as Chairman of Medical Camps and Mrs. Anushree Katyayan as Marketing and Communication In-charge. The Past Presidents advisory committee comprised of Mr. Omprakash Khemani, Mr. Rajeev Khandelwal, Mrs. Anjali Gupta, Mr. Shravan Kumar, Dr. Yagnesh Thakar, Mrs. Manisha Thakar, Mrs. Bandana Khandelwal, Dr. Vikram Desai, Mr. Ajit Ranade and Mr. Suneel Bhagat.
On the same occasion Ms. AnanditaBiswas was also installed as President of Leo club of Young Legends. Master VedantTrivedi was installed as Secretary and Master Adwait Kalikar as Treasure and Anisha Kalikar as vice President.
The club also announced the charities of donation of 1000 note books for the St. Martin schooland fans were donated to Muk Badhir Vidyalaya ,Sonegaon. The donations were made by Mrs. Anjali Gupta and Mr. Qayyum Parekh.
Officers of District who also participated include Mrs.RaniVasundharanRajeBhonsale, Mr. Nishikant Pratape, Mr. PrahantChoudhary and Dr. DhananjayBarde. Mrs. PallaviWanjari proposed the formal vote of thanks.
Mr. Harish Kalikar, Mr. ShitalWanjari, Mrs. Vaishali Kewadkar, Mrs. Arpita Biswas, Mrs. Dr. Smita Desai and Mrs. Priya Khandelwal worked hard under the supervision of Mr. Mayuresh Katyayan for the success of the occasion.
