The 9th District level Tang Soo Do championship was organized by Tang Soo do Sports Association of Nagpur at Gayatri Vidya Mandir, Bharat Nagar, Nagpur city.
A total of 260 players from 10 schools of Nagpur district participated in this competition. The successful players in the competition were felicitated by giving medals and the best performing school team was awarded with winning trophy by the chief guests.
Among the chief guests were Panditrao, Director of Gayatri Education Society, Principal Dr. Shalini Soni, The well-known writer, social activist of the city, Prof. Dr. Pritam Bhimrao Gedam, Kiran Yadav, President of Tang Soo Do Sports Association Nagpur, Secretary Khushal Ingole and office bearers Narendra Bihar, Vinod Dahare were prominently present.
Also the coaches of various school teams and parents of the competing players were present in large numbers. Dr. Pritam Gedam was honoured with a memento and bouquet on behalf of the organizing president Kiran Yadav.
Dr. Pritam Gedam, encouraged the players by guiding them to remain a participant in sports throughout their life.
The winners of this competition have been selected for the upcoming State Level Tang Soo Do Competition 2022. In this competition, Gayatri Vidya Mandir Convent School team stood at first position, Blossom School at second position and New Talent Karate Academy at third position.
