Red alert has been issued for Gadchiroli on Monday
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday has issued Orange alert for heavy rainfall in Nagpur for next two days (August 8-9) followed by yellow alert.
The Met department has also issued red alert of Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy rainfall and thunderstorm with lightning in Gadchiroli on Monday and orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lighting for Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gondia, Nagpur on Monday, (August 8).
On Monday the regional Meteorological Centre Nagpur in its prediction said, “light to moderate rainfall is very likely at many places over Akola, Washim; few places over Yavatmal, Amravati; isolated places over Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Nagpur, Wardha districts of Vidarbhaâ€.
Following an incessant rains Nagpur recorded 40mm rainfall till August 8, 8:30 am.
Apart from this the Met department has issued red alert of extremely heavy rainfall and thunderstorm with lightning at Chandrapur, Gadchiroli and Gondia on August 9. The department also issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorm and lighting for Amravati, Bhandara, Nagpur and Wardha on August 9 as well.
