A significant portion of a road of a prominent stretch at Lokmat square caved in, following heavy rain in the city on Monday afternoon, affecting traffic and forcing diversions.
A cave-in was reported in the afternoon from Gujrat Point’s side at Lokmat Square. This has also exposed the sloppy work of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).

In the meantime, cops have restricted the traffic and put a barricade at Lokmat Square to prevent vehicles from reaching the damaged area.
The vehicles were either diverted to other stretches or allowed to ply in a single lane to prevent mishaps and avoid further damage to the roads.
