Contribution of scientists in the freedom struggle and career in sports will be discussed.
A two-day event of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the establishment of Dada Ramchand Bakhru Sindhu Mahavidyalaya has been organized in the college premises on 15th and 16th October.
On the first day Dr. Nitin Raut, Former Cabinet Minister of the Government of Maharashtra and on the second day, Former Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India, Hansraj Ahir will be present as the chief guest. H. R. Bakhru, President of Sindhi Hindi Vidya Samiti will preside over this two day functions.
Chairman Dr. Vinky Rughwani, Vice President Vinod Masand, General Secretary Dr. IP Keswani and Secretary College Affairs Neeraj Bakhru will have special presence.
Dada Ramchand Bakhru Sindhu Mahavidyalaya is established in the year 1971 and is continuously working for the educational upliftment of economically and socially backward class in North Nagpur for the last 50 years.
Having its own identity in the field of education in Central India, DRB Sindhu Mahavidyalaya, provides education from class 11th to post- graduate degrees. It also has a Research Center in Commerce.
More than 5000 students take education in the college every year and the students of the college have been occupying high positions in different fields.
On the first day of the two-day Golden Jubilee celebration, i.e. on October 15, the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, a Vigyan Senani program will be organized in collaboration with Vigyan Bharati Sanstha.
The contributions of Scientists in Freedom Struggle will be discussed by the Chief Guest Dr. Shekhar Mande, former Director General of CSIR.
After that, a get-together and felicitation of alumni and a get-together and felicitation program of former teachers and non-teaching employees of the college will be organized by SAARTHI, the alumni association.
On the second day i.e.on October 16, there will be a Felicitation program for the players of Nagpur who represented India at the national and international level and a discussion session Insight will also be organized on the topic of career opportunities in sports.
In this discussion session the Boxing Associations Departmental Secretary Ganesh Purohit, International Chess Instructor Anoop Deshmukh, Head Department of Physical Education Dr.Sharad Suryavanshi, International Cricketer Faiz Fazal and International Women Cricketer Monica Sumra etc will participate in this panel discussion.
A colorful cultural evening has also been organized on the same day, in which students will perform various acts. All teachers and non-teaching staff are trying under the guidance of Dr. Vishwajit Pendsey, Officiating Principal of the college to make the program successful.
