Man-animal conflict: Man-eating tigers should be jailed immediately says Sudhir Mungantiwar

Forest Minister, Sudhir Mungantiwar has warned the continuous and raising victim of tiger attacks in the Chandrapur district to be jailed as soon as possible or face suspension actions.

Devarao Sopankar died in Kantapeth in Mul Taluka on December 14, 2022 in a tiger attack. On December 15, 2022, Baburao Kamble in Savli Taluka and Swarupa Yelattiwar in Khedi were killed in another tiger attack.

Constant tiger attacks on humans and civilian casualties are a very major concern. Sudhir Mungantiwar said, “ the man-eating tigers need to be jailed immediately and no further harm will be tolerated in this regard.”  Mungantiwar has directed Venugopal Redd, the Principal Secretary of the Forest Department, and all the other officials to take immediate and necessary action.
